Day 1: The Mechanical Seed & The Coil Index

Geometric Focus: Central Class 1 Octahedron (The Seed).

Bench Skills:

  • Straighten structural core wire (18g) and cut 13 uniform struts from 1 master key.
  • The Coil Wrap: Wrap 24g–26g binding wire around core struts at a 1mm pitch.
  • The Non-Flush Notch: Cut wrap ends with non-flush cutters to leave a 1cm corner overhang—creating a physical mechanical stop.

Thermal Discipline: Flux the coiled joint and practice-heat with soldering irons to watch capillary action pull solder into the helical wrap.

Assembly: Interlock 6 vertices using the coil stops and fuse the core Octahedron.

Day 2: Torch Dynamics & The Stellate Expansion

Geometric Focus: Star Tetrahedron (Merkaba) around the octahedral core.

Bench Skills:

  • Transition from irons to butane micro-torches.
  • Pre-coil and batch 8 identical 3-wire pyramid cap clusters using the Day 1 key length.

Thermal Discipline: Direct heat onto the high-surface-area coil collar rather than the solder wire. Manage heat zones to protect adjacent inner vertices.

Assembly: Seat the 8 cap bases into the octahedral face coils and reflow the vertices into unified nodes.

Day 3: Framing the Cube & Material Offsets

Geometric Focus: Constructing the central Cube frame.

Bench Skills:

  • Account for compounding material thickness and wire overlap in spatial geometry.
  • Use dual-heat techniques (iron for delicate inner core points, torch for outer struts).

Assembly: Connect the tips of the Star Tetrahedron with 12 structural struts to form the Cube. Verify 3-axis squareness before final vertex reflows.

Day 4: The 30-Edge Marathon (The Lesser Maze)

Geometric Focus: The 20-face, 30-edge Icosahedral outer shell.

Bench Skills:

  • High-volume batch cutting and coiling (30 identical struts off a single master key).
  • Manage work-hardening as wire gauges scale up (16g).

Assembly: Execute dense 5-wire vertex junctions using coil pockets to prevent strut slippage under flame. Completion of the Lesser Maze.

Day 5: The Greater Stellation

Geometric Focus: First Stellation of the Icosahedron (Initiating the Greater Maze).

Bench Skills:

  • Measure the new icosahedral outer edge to establish the macro master key.
  • Pre-wrap and pre-solder-load 8 macro 3-wire stellation pyramid clusters.

Assembly: Mount the 8 spires onto the icosahedron to extend radiating golden-proportioned outer points.

Day 6: The Macro Hull & The Recursive Loop

Geometric Focus: Bridging the spires to form the overarching Macro-Octahedron.

Bench Skills:

  • Handle heavy gauge wire (14g) and manage large thermal mass with propane/torch control.
  • Chemical flux removal, joint tension inspection, and brass wire-brushing or patina finishing.

Assembly: Connect the tips of the 8 outer stellation spires to close the outer Octahedron—trapping five nested geometric dimensions inside a macro-scale replica of the Day 1 seed.
